0930 we hitched up an pulled out of Zion, heading to Lake Powell. We stopped at Pipe Springs National Monument and toured the winsor castle. This ranch was part of Brigham Youngs vision to settle southern Utah. Pipe Springs was used as a tithing ranch, where all the livestock that was tithed to the Mormon church were kept. Beef eggs cheese and butter where sent from Pipe Springs to Saint George.

The National Park runs this as a working ranch, they were going to plow up the vegetable garden and offered the remaining vegetables to anyone who wanted them. We gathered Squash and beans in Nancy's hat and had these with our dinner for a few nights! We spent an hour or two here and then headed on.

At 1400 we arrived at Wahweep campground at Lake Powell where it was a pleasant 75 degrees. We picked site number 93 and set up camp and made lunch. They offered free wifi at this campground!

We relaxed a bit, read and sent e-mail and played dominoes.

At 1715 we drove up to the dam, the visitor center was closed. We walked out onto the highway bridge and viewed the dam.

We the headed back to the campground, got informatino on the boat tours. It was still 75 degrees and no wind, very pleasant.

At 1930 we made dinner consisting of barbequed London Broil and vegetables. We sat out late watching the sky.
