We woke up and were off to Zion at 8:30. We stopped for fuel in Saint George, it was a nice town and looked like there was lots of new building going on.

We arrived in Zion at noon and managed to get one of the last camp sites available. We camped in the Southern Campground, site 38. It was a very nice campground, we had heard there was a ban on camp fires so we did not bring along any firewood, of course the ban had been lifted 10 days ago...

We walked to the visitor center and around the campground, it was very windy and a lot cooler than Las Vegas was!

We stayed in the campground for the evening and relaxed and played games. We had to eat dinner inside the trailer as it was just too windy. Nancy felt like she was coming down with a cold so we took it easy and planned out tomorrows activities. We were now in the Mountain Time Zone.
