We left Livermore at 06:30. We dropped our absentee ballots off at the Post Office on our way out of town as we will be gone for the presidential election. Our first stop was at the FlyingJ in Ripon where we bought fuel for $3.11 per gallon, drastically lower than the $5.09 price at FlyingJ over the summer! This accounts for no summer vacation this year.

Leaving Ripon we encountered a 45 minute delay of stop and go traffic on hightway 99 due to an accident. We then stopped in Madeira At IHOP for breakfast.

We pulled into Texas Springs Campground at 5:30 PM, selected site # 53, there are very few campers here today. We set up camp at sunset and had quick candlelight dinner.

We had a nice peaceful evening sitting under a clear night sky and stargazing with a calm light breeze. Early to bed tonight.
